My name is Steve and I was born in Isleworth, Middlesex, UK, in March of 1963. I am the oldest of 3 children. My siblings, Darren and Suzanne both live in the UK but I now call Lakeland, Florida, USA, my home.

I grew up around Shepperton and Sunbury on Thames and got my fist job after leaving Sunbury Sixth Form College with Wacker Chemicals in Walton on Thames. I spent a few years there before moving on to manage a pub and then moved in to car sales working for Austin Rover, Renault, Land Rover and Volkswagen. Too many working weekends eventually took their toll and I got out of the industry.

Whilst working for Renault, I met Zoe and we were married in June of 1990. A couple of children quickly followed. Melissa ( now 16 ) and Tom ( now 14 ).Steve & Zoe

We bought a holiday home in Florida in 1999 and had many enjoyable holidays visiting Disney and the surrounding area.

I went to work for a small sales operation selling capital equipment to the semiconductor industry in 2000 and stayed there until 2003 when we could see the writing on the wall that the industry was heading east to China and we made the decision to try a new life in Florida. We sold up in the UK and came here on an E2 Treaty Investor Visa to run our own company servicing and maintaining swimming pools. I earned a State Contractors License and also learned to Scuba Dive, something I wish I could do more but we are always so busy.

We get a few visitors but we are always happy to see more form the homeland.
